There’s not a lot to do at the end of September right? Wrong. The Poole Seafood Festival is in town!
This fine celebration of the very best in local seafood takes place over the weekend of 25-26th September at Poole Quay.
Of course, being the ultimate professionals, one of us from the Fish Face Seafood Blog team will head down to check things out – so we might see you down there.
And from browsing the Poole Seafood Festival website, this year’s event looks to be a pretty decent show.
There’s a selection of stalls serving up some of the very best local seafood. What’s more, there’s also live cooking demonstrations from local chefs. We might finally discover what to do with a whelk!
Even if you’re not a seafood lover (what’s wrong with you?), there’s still plenty to whet the appetite in the form of a host of artisan street-food traders serving up dockside delights.
Thirsty work all this eating – but do not fear my friends, as there are also local breweries and even a champagne and oyster bar.
And, if a few glasses of plonk ignite your dancing shoes you’re in luck. There’s live music too!
Poole is a beautiful place to live and we should all be proud of the wonderful produce on our doorstep.
It’s right to celebrate where we live and what’s available to us. See you there!
